Getting A Nation Back On The Right Track Begins With Fundamentals
The question remains, “Where is healthcare funding going to come from?” The coffers are almost depleted, and the figures necessary to keep everything going keep increasing. It is definitely not a problem that will have a quick and easy solution, but one that should be addressed with all due speed. For the thousands who do not have any insurance coverage, medical healthcare funding is an important part of what the administration is attempting to accomplish. The problem, as always exists in politics, is that everybody concerned wants to obtain some personal benefit on any laws that pass.
Many factions believe that the only contingent that benefits from laws to assist in hospital expenses are the unlawful aliens living in the country. This is a concern for any American who pays taxes, but is the real concern who is going to benefit from legislation and who is not? With an unprecedented change in the whole fabric of the society due to poor lending procedures and wars on distant land, many citizens are unemployed or underemployed. Those who are lucky enough to maintain a living to pay bills and stay afloat almost seem to be in the minority. Additionally, a large number of the unprotected are people who were once a very important part of the commerce backbone of this nation.
The foundation of this country goes back to men and women who held to the truth that everyone who would contribute to the whole were a piece of the whole, and when any portion of the whole had a problem, the whole had the same. If this nation turns its back on individuals in need, then it has abandoned the whole theology that made a unified country the envy of the remainder of the globe. Determination in the face of hardship has long been the American way, and that seems to be readily forgotten when times are fruitful for an extended time. Now that the easy sailing is difficult to come by, the traditional creed of helping one another is even more important.
Everyone is not accountable for the events that led to the current state of affairs, but assigning blame never solves anything. It’s assured that the Democratic Party and the Republican Party have both contributed in some respect to the state of affairs in this nation. It seems that numerous politicians spend more time attempting to prove the other party in the wrong than they do trying to repair the crisis. The overall operation of this country or any other is a mixture of good and bad decisions made at all tiers of accountability. It’s not akin to the cow that started the Chicago fire; no one can isolate one occurrence and declare that is where it all started.
The same thing holds true for fixing the problem and getting the country back on the road to profitability. Everyone has to pull together for the whole. A leader can’t make everything right again, only attempt to direct the traffic. Every citizen has the responsibility to do a part, and that part is not calling attention to the speck in somebody else’s eye.
